2025 C-IDEA Conference First International PhD Forum

To promote academic exchange and collaboration among PhD/MFA students globally and showcase the latest design research achievements, the C-IDEA Conference will host the First International PhD Forum. We now invite PhD/MFA students from around the world to submit their papers and participate.

 

Shortlisted Papers for Preliminary Review

Following the initial review by the Forum Review Committee, we are pleased to announce the acceptance of 21 submissions from 8 countries.

Submission Method 

All papers must be submitted via the conference website. The submission link will be provided before the conference.

 

Target Audience

PhD students currently enrolled in art and design schools, and related disciplines from both domestic and international institutions.

Submission Requirements

Submission Guidelines: Submissions are welcomed in two forms: Academic Papers and Visual Papers.

1. Please include an author biography with your submission.

2. Academic Papers should include a summary of up to 1000 words.

3. Visual Papers should include a summary of no more than 500 words and no more than 20 images presenting the visual concept.

4. All submissions must be in English.

 

Review and Acceptance

1. Full papers must be submitted before the conference for inclusion in the conference proceedings and publication.

2. Full papers will be reviewed by the conference committee members.

3. Submissions are free of charge. Accepted authors will present their papers at the 2025 C-IDEA Annual Conference, and their papers will be published in dsignn Journal, Poland, which will also be indexed in the EBSCO Academic Database, increasing visibility in the global research community.

 

Additional Required Documents

To meet our editorial standards and publishing ethics, we also require the following signed documents from each author:

1. A publishing agreement, confirming that the article has not been previously published elsewhere. The signed and scanned document should be returned to us via email, so we may forward it to our publisher for final countersignature.

2. An authorship declaration (template also attached), to confirm the originality of the work. 

3. A consent to image use declaration, allowing us to publish the author’s portrait photo in both the print and digital versions of the journal.

Note

1. Authors whose papers are accepted will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and other expenses related to attending the conference.

2. All submitted articles accepted for publication will undergo a plagiarism check using our anti-plagiarism system, followed by a double-blind peer-review process conducted by qualified experts.
